Doin’ Time, & the livin’s easy.
So I’ve written various fashion blogs. From runway couture collections, eco-friendly designs, streetwear clothing, to local designers who are moving up the ladder. And I think to myself, “What to write about…”. Working at Vans for about 6 months, the majority of my time is spent staring aimlessly at the flat screen tv behind me. It’s the same dvd played over and over again, but I always catch interest at all the new people that they are sponsoring. Leila Hurst, 15 year old pro-surfer. It amazes me how this young kid has such talent. I can swim and everything, but I don’t know about those waves crashing on me. Here is my surf and summer inspired blog for you, the ones who fell in love with summer, and those who wait for summer to come.
June is here kids. Imagine this, BBQ smell is in the air, 6pm at the beach, still hot, but good dusk is setting in, walking in just nothing but a bikini, shorts, and flip flops around, kickin it with good folks listening to reggae. Hot nights, not a care in the world, the summer is my favorite season. Figuring out what to wear for the summer isn’t so much as tough when it comes to the colder seasons. So, this summer, I am inspired by this young girl surfer, Ms. Leila and other Vans girl surfer Karina Petroni, to be carefree. To throw thin tanks, surf shorts, flip flops, and enjoy the summer the way it’s supposed to be enjoyed. Ladies, wear your hair natural, take a shower at night, scrunch it up, and you’ll have that natural wavy sexy hair. To have the sunkissed tan, and look way relaxed. The cut out monokinis accompanied with the gold jessica Simpson heels is out. Get the beach look, and get all those hot surfers to fall in love with you. Sometimes the best fashion are the ones that take the least effort!
